I wanted to get something to promote autism acceptance and neurodiversity, but everything I saw online is a) blue, b) emblazoned with the puzzle piece symbol or c) flat-out ugly. So I made my own design.

I drew brains on paper first.

Then redrew in Illustrator…

…and finally added text and texture in Photoshop.

Neurodiversity design

Red is the colour chosen by autism acceptance advocates, as opposed to blue, which is associated with the prevailing (but problematic) autism organization.

I’ve made this artwork available in various places, depending on the products offered.
